These tissue cultures are still the same, high-quality plants that are lab-grown. While the plants are in perfect condition, the top seals slightly opened while in transit to our warehouse. We are offering these plants to our members at a $1 per plant discount, as the open seal compromises them as a tissue culture. Please understand that they are healthy plants with no visible differences, but are being offered as “orphans”, as they cannot be sold as a sealed tissue culture. Get a deal on these wonderful plants and help them find a permanent home in your aquarium.
Bucephalandra 'Needle Leaf' is a rare and beautiful aquarium plant that has small, elongated leaves about 0.5–0.75 inch (1–2 cm) long. The deep green leaves are speckled with small, white dots and have slightly wavy edges, whereas the new rhizome growth has a lovely red hue. Expect this slow-growing bucephalandra to reach about 1–2 inches (3–5 cm) in height.
***Being a natural product, the plant appearance can vary from what is shown.***
1. Upon receiving the tissue culture plant, immediately open the container and rinse off any excess liquid from the roots.
2. The bucephalandra can be planted as one single plant or gently separated into smaller plant clumps by snapping apart the rhizome.
3. Insert each plant clump between a crack in a rock or more firmly attach them to decor using super glue gel.

— Caring for Bucephalandra 'Needle Leaf' is very easy, so start by using low lighting between 10-20 PAR.
— Why is my buce turning yellow or brown? It may be a nutrient deficiency, so measure the nitrate level using a multi-test strip. Dose with Easy Green all-in-one fertilizer until the water has 20-50 ppm nitrate.
— How to trim Bucephalandra "Needle Leaf": If the buce has dying or melting leaves, trim them off at the base of the leaf without damaging the rhizome.
— Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut the rhizome and split into two plants. Plant the two sections as normal.
